Happy
Slings are totally adjustable unpadded ring slings. They are designed to fan
over and your shoulder so that the weight of the baby can be spread over your
whole back.
Most slings are made of cotton or a cotton/polyester blend and are machine washable/dryable.
If the fabric has special instructions, it will be noted. Some of the fabrics
look the same on either side and some have a "wrong" side that will show (depending
on how you thread the fabric through the rings). If this is an issue for you,
please send us an email and we'll send you more pictures so you can decide if
it's ok.
The water slings are made from 100% polyester mesh so they dry very quickly.
They are GREAT to have in the pool, river or beach. You can also use your Happy
Sling for showering with baby because lets face it, babies are slippery!
We use Aluminum Sling Rings. They are gorgeous silver lightweight rings with
no seams. They are not heavy at all, but are extremely strong and made specifically
for slings.
It is a good idea to have someone help you or to practice with a doll the first
couple of times until you get the hang of your new Happy Sling. You should practice
over the bed or couch while you are learning. It will take a few times, but
you WILL get it. Sometimes babies get fussy when you put them in your new sling.
It is best to start with a rested, fed baby and then get up and go! Go for a
walk or bounce him a little to help him adjust to his new carrier.
Happy Slings are completely adjustable and one size fits most. I am 5'5" and
Daddy is 6'1" and we can both wear the same sling. It has a long tail that can
be used for covering up while nursing, as a cover from the weather, or wrapped
around the baby as a light blanket. If you dont like the long tail, you can
wrap it around and tuck it under the baby or wrap it around the rings. If you
think you might need a longer or shorter tail, please let us know in the note
field. If you have questions, please check the FAQ page or send an email to
info@HappySlings.com .
Wearing
your baby is fun and easy! Just remember that you should squat rather than bending
over and you should always be aware of what’s around you. Don’t
get too distracted while you are cooing at your sweet baby.
